Substance break

For the month of January, I’ve decided to take a break from alcohol.

I don’t see anything wrong with enjoying a casual drink with friends, tossing back a few beverages at an event, or sipping on a beverage to unwind at the end of the day. Lately, I’ve felt like my brain has been telling my that I need that beer when I’m out with friends, or that glass of whiskey or relax before bed. Even if it’s only one drink, I still don’t like that control and dependency a substance can have, and so a break seems appropriate.
