A livestock traceability startup's brand and go-to-market, built alongside its $2.5M seed round
CleanTrace is a livestock traceability startup. A young company in a trust-heavy industry needs a brand that looks established and a way to get in front of the few people who can say yes. I was a board advisor there, and I've since stepped away from the role.
What I did
- Built the brand from its first versionThe company's look and message, consistent from day one.
- Wrote the go‑to‑market strategyThe positioning and plan for getting the company into the right rooms.
- Ran targeted campaignsAimed at decision makers at a short list of companies.
What happened
- $2.5M seed roundThe brand, positioning, and go‑to‑market work were part of what the company took into it.
- Meetings with industry leadersThe targeted campaigns opened them.
The raise belongs to the whole team. My part was making sure the company looked and sounded ready when those meetings happened.
